  Ruby Dee





Ruby Dee was an American actress, poet, playwright, screenwriter, journalist and activist. She was born October 27, 1922  in Cleveland, Ohio and died June 11, 2014 in New Rochelle, N.Y.  She is perhaps best known for co-starring in the films  A Raisin in the Sun, Do the Right Thing,  and American Gangster.

 Maya Angelou, American poet and novelist died May 28, 2014 at the age of 86.  She left words of wisdom for us to live by. A brillant voice, now gone silent forever.

Seniors check with the library to make sure your account is clear.

Try the resources listed below.  Research job opportunities in your major. Locate the job description, requirements, salary, etc.  Try to get a summer intern.  Research  job possibilities. Look up facts about the company that's affiliated with the job. Finally and most importantly,  prepare yourself for the interview.  Look up possible interview questions . Look at Benedict's webpage.  Click on the Student tab.  Select Career Development.  Review and update your resume. Make several copies of your resume.  Dress for success.   Plan for success.

This summer why not work on your "Senior Paper?"  Browse Benedict's  eBook Collections as you work on your  "Paper."   You can utilize eBooks to compile your  literature review.   To check out eBooks during the summer, all you need is your 13 digit barcode number located on the back of your Benedict ID card, the internet, an ebrary and EBSCO account.
